In another post, I mentioned I’d save the specifics of my career/life Pause for another post. This is that post (well the beginning of it, it’s still simmering).

Some bullets of what I’ll to write more about:

  • Meditation and intentional quiet = clearing space so the deep desires, and creativity could actually surface
  • A letter to a video game Company’s Board, written like a press release. What the CEO said about it.
  • What 11-year-old me actually wanted to make, versus what 34-year-old me was doing
  • Why leaving = clearing the slate = an actual creative act, even before I’d written 1 line of code
  • Serenity Sketch’s evaporating water painting mechanic. What it has in common with Letting Go of my old identity.
  • Imperfection is great! Embrace it!
  • The Trial of Initiation: in Serenity Sketch, this is your first “test.” No guide, vague instructions, no clue what it will be. What that has in common with quitting finance, and not knowing if it’s the right call.
